I was listening to a story on NPR this morning about craft food producers – manufacturers of pickles, mustard, beef jerky, etc. that target the high-end of the market where more discerning customers will pay more for quality product – and I was reminded that Dolce Mia, and your Dolce Mia business, is exactly this. China has the commodity side of the market sewn up. Those who are looking for a low price and acceptable quality are taken care of. But there are plenty of people – a growing number – who want more, and are willing to pay for it – enough people to support all those craft brands you see in Whole Foods. With this customer, people like us have a lock on the market.
Whether you are targeting retailers, salons, hotels or consumers, your selling points are exactly what everyone is looking for: a high-end domestic product, conscientiously produced to high standards of design and service, supporting small businesses and American entrepreneurship everywhere.
Working with our product everyday, it is easy to forget how special all of this is to people. But the values you represent, and the value you offer, are very much in demand, in every market. The world is waiting to discover you.
Alex
